All U.S. Quarters have seen a huge increase in popularity with the introduction of the new State Quarter program in 1999. The classic designs of the Draped Bust Quarters of 1796- 1807 are always in demand and hard to find. The Capped Bust Quarters of 1815-1838 are fairly easy to find in the lower circulated grades and at a modest price. The Seated Liberty Quarters of 1838-1891 are readily available in the mid-circulated grades at very affordable levels. The Barber Quarters of 1892-1916 are very easy to find in Good or better condition; however, they are very tough to find in AU or better. The Standing Liberty Quarters of 1916-1930 are truly beautiful coins and very popular with all coin collectors. The Washington Quarters of 1932-present have become very popular with all collectors. All Quarters made before 1965 were made from 90% silver--since then, they have been made of copper-nickle clad.Last Updated: Monday, 06 September 2010 16:20
